Slavery was especially common in the colony of South Carolina because A- it grew more corn and wheat than any other southern colony. B- indentured servants refused to do farm work on plantations. C- plantation owners from Barbados brought enslaved workers with them. D- slave codes kept people in other colonies from having enslaved workers.
