Laura invested her savings in two investment funds. The $2000 that she invested in Fund A returned a %3profit. The amount that she invested in Fund B returned a %10 profit. How much did she invest in Fund B, if both funds together returned a %8 profit?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what is \(3\%\) of \(\$2,000\) ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

60

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so lets call the amount invested in fund B \(x\) making the total amount invested \(2000+x\) which returned \(8\%\) for a total of \[.08(2000+x)\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you already have \(60\) plus the \(10\%\) of \(x\) set \[60+.1x=.08(2000+x)\]and solve for \(x\)

what's the answer? im not sure i got it
