Find an equation for the line that is described in y=mx+b form: has x-intercept 6 and y-intercept 5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@satellite73 Could you help me with this problem please?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

translate this problem as Find the equation of the line with the points \((6,0)\) and \((0,5)\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the \(y\) intercept is given to you, it is \(5\) so all you really need to find is the slope \(m\) in order to write it as \[y=mx+5\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you ok with finding the slope?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes I am! thanks for clearing that up for me!
