What do you think it is? Why or why not? It would be easier to tutor you if you explained what about the question is giving you trouble.
parameters i dunno what
obviously the preys populaces will go mental and augment
but "will grow to the environment's" what? borders? overrun the place???
if it just said "what'll happen to the little mice" or something thats easy, but whats the deal with the environment
\(\bigstar\) Patience & Pondering is the key to learn science
Now since the predators are dead ! Prey population will increase explosively.
Now think ! Environment is like a jar...which have some capacity ! U can fill it upto a fixed maximum amount. It can carry only a fixed amount of something
And that maximum amount a nature can carry for a species is called as "Carrying Capacity"
and then it will overflow
got it ?
yeah ish
i know that a environment can only support so much (which depends entirely on the specifics and resources of the environment and what lives in it as well as seasonal business)
and i know that if you take mr mean lion out of the food chain then happy little gazell populations can rise
so what youre saying is that if all the birds die than the rat and lizard populations will grow to the maximum allowed population called the environments carry capacity before the cycle starts all over again (the cycle being lots of predators eat all food source no more food source no more predators lots of food source.....)
ye-ye?
so: If an entire Kookaburra population dies, the lizard and rat population on which it preys will grow to the environment’s carrying capacity.
right @Abhisar ?
yes, and after that growth will stop
