What cosine function represents an amplitude of 2, a period of 2π, a horizontal shift of π, and a vertical shift of −1?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know that it starts out as f(x) 2 cos (blank) - 1. The period goes where blank is, but I'm not sure how to figure that out. @esamalaa

It's either f(x) = 2 cos πx − 1 or f(x) = 2 cos (x − π) − 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think the second one is right
