In what ways were the programs of the New Deal designed to influence capitalism?

It was intended to reform Capitalism to make it less unequal and to fix the depressed economy.

OpenStudy (nurali):

Roosevelt's New deal was to influence capitalism with the economics health; they would try to side with businesses and attempt to forge a new social-democratic coalition of workers-poor and elderly-racial minorities as well. This actually became successful but it was a problem with the socialist path. It lead to government sponsored work and beneficial programs that were responsible for the well being of the government-sponsored work and benefit programs founded on the idea that government was responsible for the well-being of its citizens.
