@SummerNS

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Are you ready because i dont have much time to check the answers ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yup, ready.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:) ok here we go

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In this procedure, scientists can use cells from an organism to produce an identical copy. Cloning Genetic Engineering Artificial Selection Gene Manipulation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

cloning?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yup, it's cloning.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok next :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Centrioles aid with Digestion Cell division Energy production Movement

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I believe this one is cell division.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yay i got it right :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sweet :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This is used to track traits within a family line. A microscope Punnett square A Pedigree chart A flow chart

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Pedigree chart.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's obviously not a microscope. Punnett squares are used to predict traits, not track them.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Phenotypes are an observable expression of someone's Genotypes Personality RNA Parents

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks :) and i think this is rna ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Genotypes. For example blue eyes is recessive (b) and brown eyes is dominant (B). The child is Bb so they will have Brown eyes.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oooooo i got the question misunderstood lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A trait that can only be inherited by a male would be a dominant trait male gene sex linked trait recessive trait

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Lol yeah that happens a lot to me. This one would be sex-linked because it can only be inherited by one gender/sex.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i thought it was dominant but ok :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If one recessive allele and one dominant allele are present, the _______ trait will be expressed. Original Main Dominant Recessive

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The dominant trait will be expressed because it's...dominant XD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The process of cell division that creates genetic variety in cells is Cell fission Meiosis Mitosis Asexual reproduction

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Meiosis I believe.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Describe two advantages of asexual reproduction.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i need to rite a few sentences but i did not understand please help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you know what asexual reproduction is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no :( but like i said i dont have that much time to check my answers so please help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

One advantage of Asexual reproduction would be that there is no need for a partner. The organism can reproduce without having to find a mate. Another advantage of Asexual reproduction is that it takes less time than sexual reproduction.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks so much :))))))

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Identical daughter cells are created through Fertilization Meiosis Sexual reproduction Mitosis

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Mitosis

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Gregory Mendel's work was in the area of DNA RNA Inheritance Reproduction

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Inheritance.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Genotypes are used to determine an individual's traits through a Gene Diagram Mendel Square Punnett Square Palmalt Square

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Punnet Square :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The basic unit of life is known as the cell. the nucleus. the neutron. the atom.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

my life depends on you right now and so far i am thanking you so much :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The basic unit of life is the cell.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Detached earlobes are dominant. A child inherits genes with the genotype: E and E. What is the chance that they will have detached earlobes? 100% chance 75% chance 50% chance 25% chance

OpenStudy (anonymous):

100 % correct ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yup, 100%

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Describe two advantages of genetic engineering. ( this is one of the ones i was not able to get either this one also needs a few sentences

OpenStudy (anonymous):

One advantage of genetic engineering is that organisms can be made to show desirable traits. This can include disease resistant, drought resistant, etc. Another advantage of genetic engineering would be diseases can be prevented. You can genetically engineer a plant or animal to be immune or very resistant to a certain disease that is proven to kill of a lot of that species.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OMG YOUR SOOOOOOOOOO AWESOME :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:P thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

One disadvantage of cloning is Scientists can study why nerve cells don't multiply Allows the continuation of species facing extinction Scientists can study how organisms grow and reproduce New organisms are often sickly and do not live long lives

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and if u think about it im kinda testing your knowledge for that carrer you want :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so were helping eachother :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It would be D. All of the other options are advantages. That is very true :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

DNA contains 46 chromosomes from each parent the same genes in every individual several small organelles the information to direct the cell

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It would be D I believe.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Which of the following is NOT a type of asexual reproduction? Budding Fission Spore formation Fertilization

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Fertilization. Which requires two parents.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Organelles are responsible for producing power for the cell. tiny structures in the cell that carry out the cell's activities. responsible for digestion in the cell. found outside of the membrane.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's B.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Dominant alleles are recorded as upper case in a Gene Diagram Mendel Square Punnett Square Palmalt Square

OpenStudy (anonymous):

we are like almost halfway threw lol :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This one is Punnett Square.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah this is getting hard for me XD. I'll keep helping but sorry if I'm slow to respond. I'm working on the essay questions for my final exam.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its ok i still appreciate everything more then you can ever know :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Dominant alleles are recorded as upper case in a Gene Diagram Mendel Square Punnett Square Palmalt Square

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sexual reproduction is responsible for the great variety observed in organisms. creating many of the same offspring. none of the genetic variation observed in nature. copying cells.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's fine. This would be A.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Meiosis produces four new cells with ______ the chromosomes as the parent cell. two-thirds one-half one-quarter one-third

OpenStudy (anonymous):

One-half I believe.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Scientists use this method to turn off genes that cause defects natural selection gene manipulation genetic engineering cloning

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think this one is gene manipulation but I'm not 100% sure.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It might be genetic engineering.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The gene for a widow's peak is dominant. A child inherits genes with the genotype: ww and Ww. What are the chances that he will have a widow's peak? 25% chance 50% chance 75% chance 100% chance

OpenStudy (anonymous):

|dw:1403548878654:dw| So. 50% chance.
