When a logarithm has no base, do we assume that the base is 10, e, or nothing? Or something else? I've talked to two people about this, and they gave me different answers. Can someone give me a definite answer? I'm kind of confused about it.

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

if its written as ln then its base e if its written as log its assumed base 10

Huh, interesting. In my case, it was written as log. Thank you for answering!

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

so its base 10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I see. Thanks!
