Which of the following shows the balanced equation for the reaction that represents the synthesis of ammonium hydroxide (NH4OH)? NH4OH -> NH2 + H20 NH2 + H4O -> NH4OH NH4OH -> NH3 + H2O NH3 + H2O -> NH4OH

Synthesis means you're making NH4OH, so NH4OH will be a product. This means the answer has to be either the 2nd or 4th option. Looking at the reactants, the only reaction it could be is the fourth one, because you have the same number of each atom on both sides of the reaction. Also H4O doesn't exist...
