What is the domain of the function: {(2, 1); (4, 2); (6, 3); (8, 4)}? A. {6, 8} B. {2, 4, 6, 8} C. {1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8} D. {1, 2, 3, 4}

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

The domain is the set of allowed/possible inputs. In other words, the set of allowed x values. So you just need to list all of the x coordinates of each point to list the domain.

\(\bf \{({\color{brown}{ 2}}, 1); ({\color{brown}{ 4}}, 2); ({\color{brown}{ 6}}, 3); ({\color{brown}{ 8}}, 4)\} \qquad {\color{brown}{ domain}}\)
