solve A=h(a+b) for b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1) divide both sides by \(h\) 2) subtract \(a\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can you explain please? how to divide h on both sides?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah, i don't really mean "divide it" i just mean "write it"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[A=h(a+b)\] \[\frac{A}{h}=a+b\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

h/a=h(a+b)/h

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then don't really subtract, just write that too \[\frac{A}{h}-a=b\]
