I am trying to help someone with their math. W are solving systems of Linear equalities by Graphing. The tutorial does not show how to find 2 inequalities within word problems. Can anyone help? Larry spends his evenings reading and watching TV. He cannot spend more than 4 hours doing these activities. He wants to spend more time reading than watching TV.
You don't have a specific problem that goes with those instructions?
Larry spends his evenings reading and watching tv. He cannot spend more than 4 hours doing these. And he wants to spend more time reading than watching tv. I was able to get 1 of the equations, but the 2nd one eludes me.
The equation I found is x+y is less than or equal to 4
Does x stand for reading and y for tv watching? If so, then you could also graph the equation x > y
(Or, if you let y stand for reading and x for tv watching, you would have y>x)
How would you graph this? Thanks for the reply!
