The United States Navy Diving Manual contains a wealth of information about diving from the history of diving to underwater physics and physiology. Start by browsing the U.S. Navy Diving Manual and then post a response to the following questions: How do the pressure variations with depth affect our ability to explore the ocean? What are some of the challenges of scuba diving? @Abhisar
Lower depths require the ability of the body or the submarine to withstand higher pressures. When doing SCUBA diving, the higher pressure on the blood in the body forces the absorption of more nitrogen into the blood, assuming that an oxygen/nitrogen mixture is being breathed. Now as the diver starts ascending towards lower depths, these dissolved gases start coming out in the form of bubbles and can create a fatal condition called as "Bends"
