Whose leadership was key to the North’s victory in the Civil War?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Im thinking its probably grant, but Lincoln is also in my answers

OpenStudy (jumperman):

Ulysses S. Grant was the General of the Union army. He trained his troops hard and brought them into battle and they won a lot of wars. He also took down Robert E. Lee, and brought him to justice and ended the Civil War.

OpenStudy (jumperman):

Lincoln helped a bit, but wasn't directly in the war.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well sounds like grants the better choice

OpenStudy (jumperman):

Go for it.
