Solve for H: A = L • W • H

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no clue how to do.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

h=a/lw

OpenStudy (anonymous):

H=A/LW

OpenStudy (anonymous):

alicatforever and sheelo is correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how you get that

mathway.com lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks lol

All they did was take A = L • W • H and then applied the division rule of multiplication to isolate the variable. To isolate H we need to divide LW and what ever we do one side of an equation we always have to do to the other side so that means we have to divide LW on the A side. We can do this with L for instance solve for L in A = L • W • H A = L W H A/WH = L W H / WH A/WH = L L = A/WH

oh ok thanks I'm put this in my notes lol

You will need it for the rest of your math so make sure you do :-)

i have other thing if you don't mind Solve 4(x + 1) = 4x + 4.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that would be 0 right thats what i got.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4(x + 1) = 4x + 4. 4x + 4 = 4x + 4 4x - 4x = -4 + 4 0 = 0 It is true
