Look at the Spanish word below and decide if the “d” is pronounced like the English “d”, the English “th”, or extremely soft/omitted. (universidad)

This isn't a math question, but I'll help you anyway. First, which one do you think it is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

idk

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im lost

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok, well, I can't really think of another way to guide you to the answer . . . The answer is English "d". You pronounce universidad like uni-verse-ee-d-ah-d. Just like you would say dog or dad :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thanks a lot .

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You're welcome!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The "th" sound occurs if the "d" is between vowels, so the first one is definitely a "th".

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The last "d" is also soft, according to Google

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea that other guy was wrong
