Which is the area of the figure?

A trapezoid has two vertical lines through it, sectioning the shape into a rectangle in the middle and a right triangle on either side of the rectangle. The leftmost triangle has base twelve centimeters and height 8 centimeters. The rectangle has base 9 centimeters and height 8 centimeters. The rightmost triangle has base 6 centimeters and does not have the height labeled.

well u have to start off by noting that none of this can be done together because there are three diffrent shapes

So the area of the rectangle in the middle is 8cm * 9cm, which is 72
then 8cm * 12cm divided by two, so 96 divided by two will be the area of the left triangle and the triangle on the right 6cm * 8cm divided by two, so 48 divided by two is the area of the triangle on the right. Did I miss anything?

72 + 24 = 96
the triangle on the left is 96 divided by two
so 96 + 48 = 144
