any ideas?
its either 11 miles, 8.75 miles, 1.14 miles, or 0.875 miles
we want to convert 80 minutes to 1 minute. Do you have any thoughts on how we can do this?
nope
well, if we divide it into 2 equal parts ... 80 minutes/2 = 40 minutes and 40 minutes .... this doesnt give us equal parts of 1 minute does it. dividing into 3 equal parts doesnt pan out either ... what would we have to divide 80 minutes by in order to get equal parts of 1 minute each?

another way to look at it is this: we are given a ratio of 70:80. we want values of 70n:80n to maintain the ratio. so, 70n = ? when 80n=1. we just need to solve for n to determine the answer as 70n.
