What does the graph of 4 < n + 6 < 9 look like?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It looks like a number line. What do you think it looks like?

To find out, work the problem out. 4 < n + 6 < 9 First break it down into two parts since we have two inequalities (1) n + 6 < 9 (2) n + 6 > 4 (1) n + 6 < 9 n < 9 - 6 n < 3 (2) n + 6 > 4 n > 4 - 6 n > - 2 So n is greater than - 2 but less than 3 How would you draw the number line?
