Two lines are perpendicular. The equation of the first line is y = 4x + 1. Which of the following cannot be the equation of the second line?

well..the perpendicular line will have the negative reciprocal slope. All that means is " flip " the slope and change the sign. So the slope will have a 1/4 perpendicular slope. Anything else will be an incorrect slope.

So basically, your answer will be the one that does not have a 1/4 slope. The slope will be the number in front of the x when the equation is in y = mx + b form
