Solve the proportion for m. thirty over six equals m over 2 m equals 3 m equals 5 m equals ten m equals fourteen I just need someone to tell me how to find M, I don't need the answer. Will give medal.

OpenStudy (vlery):

well you know that 30/6=5 so what would equal 5 when divided by 2?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh alright, thank you very much. I just was confused on how to find m. I'll give you a medal c:

OpenStudy (vlery):

okay thanks glad I could help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hold on, that's wrong actually. You have to cross multiply, not divide.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got an answer with a decimal in it so I knew it was wrong.

OpenStudy (vlery):

10/2 is 5 thus making M=10

OpenStudy (vlery):

if you have a calculator put in (30/6) and then put in (10/2) they should both be 5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh okay, thank you.

OpenStudy (vlery):

lol no problem

OpenStudy (vlery):

if you ever get a problem like that again, you can always just plug in the answer choices into M

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Alrighty, thanks dude. Have a good one.
