GEOMETRY HELP! It's URGENT. Part 1: Choose a polyhedron. Find an image either online or by taking a picture of something you find in the real world. If you are using the Internet to find this object, make sure to follow the guidelines and safety precautions for completing Internet searches. Part 2: Sketch the net of the polyhedron. Provide a sketch of the net of the polyhedron. Part 3: Identify parts of the polyhedron. List the number of faces, vertices, and edges of the polyhedron. Describe their relationship to the two-dimensional base polygon. Part 4: Repeat steps 1–3 with a different polyhedron. Choose a second polyhedron, sketch its net, and identify its parts. I DON'T UNDERSTAND.

Sir/Ma'am, A Warm Welcome to Open Study ..... Stay Studious.

OpenStudy (goformit100):

Ma'am can I help you ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you @goformit100 Yes, I don't understand this.

OpenStudy (goformit100):

Sure let me read the question fully.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (goformit100):

Ma'am which part of it are you unable to understand ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sketching the net. I'm not really sure how to do that.

OpenStudy (goformit100):

Sketch the net of the polyhedron. ... means you have to show its 3D stucture

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So if i used this picture, how could I?

OpenStudy (goformit100):

I think your posted pic is correct, now identify its parts. Like Sides, Edges, faces, vertices and etc.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think 19 Vertices, 22 edges (i could be wrong), and 10 faces

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@goformit100

OpenStudy (goformit100):

yes its wrong. Use Ilers formula

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is it the F + V - E = 2 formula?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But, If I'm trying to figure out how many Faces, vertices, and edges are, theres no way I can plug it in.

OpenStudy (goformit100):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes what?

OpenStudy (goformit100):

Yes for F + V - E = 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So, 10 + V - 13 = 2 ?

OpenStudy (goformit100):

Yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

V = 6 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

5*

OpenStudy (goformit100):

15-10 = 5

OpenStudy (goformit100):

but I am seeing we are getting wrong output.

OpenStudy (goformit100):

@razor99 @Abhisar @vzfreakz @iambatman

OpenStudy (goformit100):

@Rubio101 @aaronq @jadeybells

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think I counted the faces and edges wrong

OpenStudy (goformit100):

The same ting I also think, ok Ma'am count it again

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Should I just pick an easier picture?

OpenStudy (goformit100):

ya, try it. Sue

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (goformit100):

Try it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So 1 face, 4 edges, 10 vertices

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4 faces*

OpenStudy (goformit100):

You should also the opposite side faces too

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So 7 faces

OpenStudy (goformit100):

@uri Ma'am Please help.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This is useless. I'm just going to close this question.

OpenStudy (goformit100):

@queenofdrillz @WhisperZ @eliassaab @razor99 @thomaster @youngsnay15 @uri @iambatman @OOOPS @primeralph @aaronq @shamim @dan815 @Freelance1 @Gravity_Dreams @hartnn @JuliusTheGreat @Koikkara @Luigi0210 @zaibali.qasmi @xostarbucks @CGGURUMANJUNATH @vzfreakz @blues @nincompoop @marissalovescats help please help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how can i assist?

OpenStudy (goformit100):

Please clarify her doubt

OpenStudy (anonymous):

certainly .. one moment please

OpenStudy (goformit100):

Sure Sir. Take up your time and help.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you so much!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it seems that you have had doubt of the correct output ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is this correct ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but it seems to me that you are correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So is that all? After I listed the second set of Vertices, faces, and edges?
