In what ways are fats and steroids similar to each other and in what ways are they different? Be specific in your comparison, being sure to discuss both structure and function.

Steroids and fats are both lipids and are both hydrophobic because there both non polar . Difference's are that they serve different functions in the body , fat is used for energy and fat soluble nutrient storage , where steroids steroids effect neurotransmission . Steroid hormones have a cyclopentanophenanthrene ring system substructure (atoms 1 through 17) whereas Lipids such as neutral fats and phospholipids are made up of the elements C, H, and O.
