How does the venation in monocots differ from dicots plants?

thomaster (thomaster):

Welcome to OpenStudy Take a look at this image, it will explain a lot about the difference in venation. Monocots have parallel venation while dicots can have different types, like pinnate, reticulate, pamate and others.

@veonica @thomaster That may not be what the question is asking. It could be asking about internal structures in the roots and stems. Go to google images (images.google.com) and search for monocot stem cross section vs. dicot stem cross section and check it out. After that search monocot root cross section vs. dicot root cross section.

thomaster (thomaster):

@mrdoldum Read the question again. I'm pretty sure he asked about the difference in venation.
