OpenStudy (dan815):

First find the surface area of the 4 triangles

OpenStudy (dan815):

Then add the surface area of the square on the bottom

OpenStudy (dan815):

The surface are of one triangle is 1/2 b* h , which is 1/2*4*9

OpenStudy (dan815):

Surface area of the square is 4*4

OpenStudy (vera_ewing):

Ok... so I got A as my answer

OpenStudy (dan815):

4 Triangles = 4* 1/2*4*9 1 square = 4*4 add them all together 4* 1/2*4*9 + 4*4 = Answer

OpenStudy (vera_ewing):

Ok its 200 right?

OpenStudy (dan815):

nope

OpenStudy (vera_ewing):

woah ok i got 304???

OpenStudy (dan815):

xD

OpenStudy (dan815):

What is the surface area of just one of those triangles?

OpenStudy (vera_ewing):

36

OpenStudy (dan815):

try again

OpenStudy (dan815):

Area of Triangle = 1/2 * b * h

OpenStudy (vera_ewing):

18

OpenStudy (vera_ewing):

@dan815 am i right?

OpenStudy (dan815):

sorry i was doing something and yes 18 now we have 4 triangles so 4*18 = 72 and we have the square on the bottom which is 4*4 = 16 72+16 = 88
