PLEASE HELP! Determine whether the function is periodic. If it is, find the period.

It would appear to be periodic (simple definition being that it is a function that repeats its values in regular intervals or periods) if you look at the graph carefully and compare the y values of points, you can see that theres a definite pattern that repeats twice in the domain shown. The period of this function would be the distance between two corresponding points Try and find that yourself!

b?

Which two points did you compare?

3

maybe i'll try again... you see how the left half of the graph seems to repeat itself on the right half right? notice how the points with x values of -5 and 1.4 just about match up, and similarly with x=-2 and x=4.2 just about match up. comparisons like these show you that the function is periodic. and the period is the distance between these points. what would the distance between these points be?

IDK.. im guessing 6
