A is the top of a vertical radio mast AB standing on level ground. Two points C and D are on ground level such that C is due east of B and D is 500m due north of C. The angles of elevation of A from C and D respectively are 11 degrees 13 minutes and 8 degrees 14 minutes. Calculate the height of the tower to the nearest metre.

Take it point by point, A is given as the top B must be the bottom of the mast, and C is due east of B and D is "North of C" and also on the ground so it should be as drawn above.

Angles of elevation "of A FROM C and D" tells you that looking up from points C and D so we know where the angles are now as well
