What is the difference of set-builder and roster form?

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

roster form is a list of the elements in set brackets.

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

roster form is a list of elements in set brackets example: \(\{1,2,3,4,5,6\}\) the same set in set builder notation \(\{n\in \mathbb{N} \ | \ n\le 6\}\)

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

roster form is best for finite sets, or infinite sets that differ discretely. example \(\{2,4,6,8,10,.......\}\) but trying to list all the real numbers in roster notation would, of course, be impossible.
