Q.1- Crop Production is discrete or continuous variable? Q.2- Why is gender said to be a variable although it can't be numerically expressed and also doesn't changes overtime? Q.3-What are the various uses of bar diagrams?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

any ideas?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the question 1 i think discrete.

OpenStudy (kropot72):

Discrete data have values which can be listed (and where no other values are possible between the values obtained in the data). In a statistical investigation, the variables are quantities which can be measured and recorded. Generally speaking, gender is a discrete variable. In samples of a population of mixed gender, it is possible to obtain varying numbers of each gender.
