Help please Is (8,4),(3,6),(2,4),(7,5),(-4,3) a function or not a function? Please show work.

OpenStudy (redohawk):

the first 3 are, but the last two are not...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Not a function, in order to becom a function it must pass the vertical line test. This means that there must one unique y-coordinate for every x-coordinate.

OpenStudy (redohawk):

so, all of em together will not be a function. This is because if you notice the pattern in the begining, you will see that there is a number, and next to it is half that number , untill you reach the fourth one.
