What is the 30°-60°-right triangle theorem

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is a right triangle theorem where the sides are always in a ratio of 1 : 2: square root of 3, the two being hypotenuse. Given this we know that the side opposite to the 30 degree angle will be half the size of the opposite of the 90 degree angle
