@dan815 @Abhisar

OpenStudy (anonymous):

volume= surface area*height find the total upper surface area, you know the height is 7inch

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just explain how to do it and give me the answer. I am babysitting and i need to help her with this and i suck and math

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for the upper surface you are seeing two rectangles, 8 inch by 7 inch each. so the total surface area for them is 2*(8*7) sq inch =112 sq inch for the triangle part you can clearly see the triangle is a right angled triangle with one side parallel to a 8inch side of a rectangle and another side parallel to 7 inch side on the other rectangle. so those sides of the right angled triangle are 8 and 7 inches respectively. area of the triangle= 1/2 *8*7 sq inch=28 sq inch voila! you have got total surface area, that is 112+28=140 sq inch height 7 inch volume=140*7 cubic inches=980 cubic inches
