the idea is, try the first one:\[(f\circ g)(x)=[g(x)]^2=\left(\frac1x\right)^2=\frac1{x^2}\neq x\]

so that's wrong... then try the next one in the same way with the other functions and so on until you fnd one that gives x... though i only found one that gave -x.... so I think the test is mistaken, which certainly does happen
