Help please! :) Can you tell me what you think about my cover video for teenage dream I know the quality of the pictures and video it's self is bad but I mean the sound. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SVELiTrqEno Thanks :)

OpenStudy (sleepyhead314):

I don't sing and can't sing, so if you don't like what I have to say then ignore me. 0:38 that high note is really out of tune 0:43 that key change was not supposed to be there, it made my skin crawl 0:48 minor??? I don't think that was the right note at all 0:52 two notes in one syllable is a no no here 1:27 awkward jump 1:33 that sounded more like talking than singing 1:44 wrong note if you're gonna sing in that key, or really out of tune 1:54 didn't hit that high note right ... there's other stuff, a lot of other stuff, but I'm not even being that picky your tone sounds nasally (like your singing from the roof of your mouth instead of throat) it's a cover so I can't complain about the inaccuracies of the key changes you tried, I'll give you that. but it's... obvious you've never had singing lessons, and if you have I suggest a change in teacher to sing better -> get a teacher if you like singing, then don't give up but you still have a lot of growing space

I'm not trying to blame it all on it like I'm making excuses but my recording system isn't that great, and I know the video sucks okay i wan't asking about the video. I should have practiced that song a little more. And nasally, is just plain wrong, I have worked extremely hard on making my voice sound not nasally and everyone that hears me in person says I don't sound nasally. I haven't had any lessons but that's because I can't afford any. I've been in my school choir for 2 years now and my teacher works with me a little. Thanks for the feed back, but it just made me cry.

psh, don't listen to sleepyhead, you were great! sure there might be some parts that need a little work, but I really admire your courage and expressions to not only share your voice but also body movements to it as well, hardly anyone on here has done that before I can understand audio and video equipment problems >.< I used to have them too ugh they were the worst but through it, I can hear a beautiful voice and a lot of potential! keep up the good work and I want to hear more of you soon! <3

Thanks :) @jigglypuff314

i like the chorus part but you could improve on opening your mouth a little more so it can let more sound out and better vowels

OpenStudy (anonymous):

are you a alto 2nd alto supreno 2nd supreno or base

OpenStudy (anonymous):

because you dont want to strain your voice and the way to stop that is to find out which one you are and that will give you your key range

I think your voice is very sweet. Try singing another song like Thousand Years by Christina Perri and I'm sure you'll sing it very good ^_^
