if u want to use them in this subject ? In case to remember dates months and years, you can use coding.... and u can code it the way u like...

1997 june 20 - Obama had golden teeth 

$Method~1$
Now, i remember it as ( Golden Obama $\to$ LqqIJUNEZO  ) , So it looks more confused but just a code which help you understand.

1997 
1 $\to$ I
9 $\to$ q
7 $\to$ L
2 $\to$ Z
0 $\to$ O  It may look tough unless you keep a code for each alphabets, And use it where ever you can. Its funny when u use the code that nobody else except you understand it.

$Method ~2$
1997 June 20 - Obama had golden teeth

Next method is you can use with names of your friends or animals u like.
look at this... 
1997 $\to$  i name the year as "Teeth"
20     $\to$ I call it as "IS"
June  $\to$  I call it as "June"

Using these codes, I can say " Obama teeth is Gold in June" >> So You know what that means.. LOl
