Do you know the Pythagorean theorem?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No I am taking a quiz and have no clue how to do it... And its on e2020

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Is it a Placement Exam sort of quiz?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No just a quiz but after this quiz I will have an exam

Well, seriously, with such a problem statement, if you do not know the Pythagorean Theorem, you're toast. Maybe you call it something else? Maybe you've seen it, but don't call it that? You must solve \((20\;ft)^{2} + (32\;ft)^{2}\;=\;Path^{2}\) Ringing any bells? I don't want you to be toast!
