The time it takes for climbers to reach the highest point of a mountain is normally distributed with a standard deviation of 0.75 hours. If a sample of 35 people is drawn randomly from the population, what would be the standard error of the mean of the sample? 0.02 0.13 0.17 0.40 0.76

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think it's 0.13

OpenStudy (zarkon):

correct

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Have you considered dividing by \(\sqrt{35}\)? "think" -- Not good enough. Feel free to think, but then PROVE IT!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I DIVIDED by the square root of 35.

Here's a plan. Next time you have an EXACTLY correct answer, say, "The corret answer is _____, and this is how I demonstrated it." Good work.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ha, thanks.

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Well, you could also spell "correct" correctly. :-)
