HELP PLEASE!!! If the area of an equilateral triangle is 9√3 sq ft, how long is a side?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

multiply it by 4,then divide it by aqrt3 and then take sqrt...you will get..ans...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

MUultiply 9√3 by 4 then divide by 3?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and divide by sqrt3 not only 3...okay..???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

could you show me how im a little slow.. :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okayy. formula for area of an equlatral triangle is A=\[A=\frac{ \sqrt{3} }{ 4 }\times a^{2}\] here you to find "a" where as A=\[9\sqrt{3}\] so extract "a" from the relation ..and simplfy it to get the result...

so i would get 12?
