Is there a candidate for office in your area whose views you agree with? Show up at his or her campaign headquarters and volunteer to help, even if it's just sweeping the office and handing out campaign literature on street corners. You will meet other people who feel the same way. When you're old enough to vote, vote and urge your friends to vote. If any of your friends are interested, bring them along to the headquarters and introduce them to the candidate. Even if your candidate loses, you are now plugged into the network of people who believe in your causes. Show them you're a worker and you'll get as much responsibility as you can handle, maybe more. The most important part of a campaign is identifying the voters who think the way you do and then making sure they get out to vote.
