Help with my computer issue?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hey! So, I just got a new Asus Windows 8 computer for my birthday. Until yesterday, it connected perfectly to any and all WiFi connections. But yesterday, when I needed to do some schoolwork, it went insane. Our WiFi is called linksys, but my computer randomly started connecting to 'linksys 2'. We do not have a 'linksys 2', and neither does anyone else around. What is it doing? And, when it's connected to this 'linksys 2', I can't use the internet, even though it shows full bars... Help?

Have you tried turning your wifi off and deleting all wifi channels on your laptop and restarting it then turn your wifi back on?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I did delete all the channels. I can't get to the WiFi box right now.. I am going to try that, it just seems like a weird problem, making a random source like that, I didn't know if that wuld fix it..

*would

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well it happened at my house and turning the wifi off along with my laptop helped

Okay, thank you so much! It was so weird! :P I will try restarting both! God bless you! :D
