In this passage, if the next heading is called “Characteristics,” which would be the best question to ask before reading the rest of the passage? How old is Stonehenge? What does “Stonehenge” mean? What features does the monument have? What myths exist about Stonehenge?
I will have to say (b) but before i know exactly what it is, can you post the paragraph?
or (c) but please post the passage
The Mystery of Stonehenge Modern humans marvel at the ruins of monuments constructed by prehistoric people. Ancient stone cities and pyramids attract visitors from all over the globe. Mysterious rock formations amaze sightseers and scientists. For centuries, experts have guessed about how, when, and why ancient people built these structures. However, some civilizations did not leave many clues that modern people can decipher. For example, people have debated for centuries over the purpose of England's Stonehenge. To explain the mystery, people have told myths, done studies, and written books—all without finding any definite answers. Great Stones Over 50,000 prehistoric megaliths, meaning “great stones,” still exist. One sits at the top of a slope on Salisbury Plain in Southern England. Some experts think that it has stood for about 3,500 years. It is made of four different circles that have the same center. One circle stands outside and the others follow ring or horseshoe patterns inside. The rocks weigh several tons each. Modern people believe that Stonehenge must have fulfilled some significant purpose for prehistoric humans.
