Tell if the events are independent or dependent. Explain your reasoning. A small box is filled with 50 marbles. There are 15 red marbles, 15 blue marbles, 10 purple marbles, 5 yellow marbles, and 5 black marbles in the box. A yellow marble is drawn from the box, is not replaced, and then a black marble is drawn. A. The events are independent, because the events affect each other. B. The events are dependent, because the events affect each other. C. The events are independent, because the events do not affect each other. D. The events are dependent, because the events do not affect each other.

i think the answer is c

OpenStudy (amistre64):

since the marble drawn is not put back in, then it affects the possible outcome of the next try. so these events are dependant since one has an effect on the others outcome

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the answer is b

OpenStudy (amistre64):

im not the best at this type of question, but yes, my choice would be 'b'
