The aorta, which carries oxygen-rich blood from the heart to all parts of the body, is a part of which circulation pathway?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@cecleste17 Which system takes blood away from the heart and carries almost exclusively oxygenated blood?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@mrdoldum idk but my answer choices are System Circulation, Pulmonary circulation & Fetal Circulation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@cecleste17 Well, we all have aortas. Fetuses are not the only ones. Pulmonary means lungs and out aorta takes blood from heart to the rest of the body to provide oxygen. So, if it is providing oxygen, the blood it is carrying has already been through the lungs right?

I honestly don't know, im so sorry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Don't be sorry. IF you everything you wouldn't be in school or on here. So, the pulmonary system is its own specially little system and is the pulmonary artery and pulmonary vein. Fetuses have a special system as well, but again it is special and not something we have after birth. The aorta takes blood to the whole body, the whole system. So it is system circulation.
