Select the polynomial that can be factored as (4x+3)^2 Answers: 16x^2+24x+9 16x^2+9 16x^2+12x+9 4x^2+12x+3

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

Multiply what you are given using FOIL. \((4x + 3)^2 = (4x + 3)(4x + 3) = ? \)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its A...16x^2+24x+9

OpenStudy (mathmale):

I agree with this suggestion. Use the FOIL approach to evaluate (4x+3)^2.

@zaibali.quasmi: thanks for your input! But please GUIDE the questioner towards finding his or her own answers by giving out appropriate hints, guidance and the like; do not, please, do his work and provide an answer with no involvement on the other's part.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i don't know HOW to do it so thank you @zaibali.qasmi

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay...!!!

OpenStudy (mathmale):

the ability to multiply two binomials, such as (x+a)(x+b), is extremely important, and you'd be well advised to learn how to do it properly on your own. Perhaps you and zaibali.quasmi could discuss this approach and some actual problems, so that you end up able to expand an expression such as (4x+3)^2 on your own, without help.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but that's why i came to this sight is to find help from really smart people

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

@d3th21 How about I explain it to you now, and you can then go over it until you learn it well. You will need this again in math.

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

@d3th21 We are here to help; that's true. Just giving out answers with no explanations will not help you understand the marterial any better.
