Does/ Can Openstudy give Summer Internships to University students?

OpenStudy (sleepyhead314):

openstudy has given internships or stuff of that sort before, but I personally don't know @Compassionate might though

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Actually, there is a new program. @dumbsearch2 is the first Corroborator.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Where is open study located?

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Hmmm... Georgia and California and wherever the servers are. But for many things, they have people do work online. They have people in India and Europe that have done work for them.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh... What are the requirements?

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Dunno. I am a mod, not an admin. I only know about the program in general because Preetha talked to me about it when we were going over some stuff. I do ambassador training, which is why I call them my minions. =P Which keeps me in touch with Preetha more regularly than some.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thanks.

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

Thank you @e.mccormick ! :) Yeah, ask e.mccorcmick if you need any help :) Very informative guy who makes some great ambassador training programs. Yes, I'm happy to be part of the team! I'm a technological intern, I'll be programming for OpenStudy's servers and designing for them. Other types of interns include those who help with their social media sites, like Twitter, Facebook and Tumblr. I believe @Compassionate is one of those, ask him about it!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't have any social networking site. I can do some amateur programming.

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

To become an technological intern, for me at least, I had to pass an interview that Alex Natskovich (head of the OpenStudy tech team) hosted by phone.

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

He quizzed me primary about what I program, other projects I have done, and the knowledge about the programming language concepts themselves.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What language did you do? Do I have to be exceptionally good in that language?

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

@AntiNode I think that the interns that help with the social networking just promote and manage as moderators the social network pages OpenStudy has.

OpenStudy (compassionate):

Hi, I am the intern for our social media outlets. I control our platforms that outreach a younger audience, such as Tumblr and Pinterest. I am also a Summer Intern for an AI project we're working on. As well, I am a manager for a few minor projects as the lead intern. To become an intern, you usually have to talk with Preetha Ram herself, either over a call or Skype. She may appoint someone else to talk with you. After an initial evaluation, you may or may not be given the position. Some internships only last for a couple days. Longer, more heinous tasks, such as @dumbsearch2 and I are responsible for, do require the aforementioned interview. To become a Manager on social platforms, message our contact email.

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

Well said, @Compassionate

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

@compassionate I talked to both Preetha Ram and Alex Natskovich on the phone quite a bit. @AntiNode If you are interested in becoming an intern, contact preetha about your skills and tell her what you can offer. Maybe she could assess how you could help.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you

OpenStudy (compassionate):

Same here, Dumbsearch, as well as our Social Media Director. You talked to Alex because your position was in programming, and I talked to Mita because my position levied more toward outreach. I actually talked to Preetha last week

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

I communicated to preetha quite a bit by email, but only talked to her by phone yesterday.

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

contact@openstudy.com is Preetha's and OpenStudy's contact address that @AntiNode can contact, correct? @Compassionate

OpenStudy (compassionate):

Well, it's not Preetha's personal email, but to contact her, yes, email that address. If Preetha wants to give you her personal contact, then she will.

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

Yes. I usually contact her by her personal email.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

Of course. Anytime.
