OpenStudy (anonymous):

I am not sure what f^-1(x) means..sorry!

OpenStudy (jenniferjuice):

@xiphoidx please help ?

OpenStudy (mathmate):

@Tajar it means the inverse \[f^{-1}(x)\]

OpenStudy (jenniferjuice):

wait but how do i solve it ? ._.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you just have to make it the inverse of itself, switch the x and y values so x= (3y-4)/5 and now solve for y

OpenStudy (jenniferjuice):

4+5/3y ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

step 1: multiply to get rid of the denominator so 5x=3y-4 step 2: add 4 so 5x+4=3y last divide by 3 so (5x+4)/3=y :) Do you understand :)

OpenStudy (jenniferjuice):

i do now :D thanks !

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no problem! :)
