2. Name the sets of numbers to which the value of -16 ÷ 50 belongs. A. reals (R), irrationals (I) B. reals (R), rationals (Q) C. reals (R), rationals (Q), integers (Z), whole numbers (W) D. reals (R), rationals (Q), integers (Z)
Guys can you explain how to solve? I need to learn this concept :)
real rational...option B
rational (from ratio) means you can write the number as an integer divided by an integer
why? how do you figure it out?
RAtional no are those which can be written in the form of p/q also do you have conceept of imaginary part..??
16/50 does not simplify to a whole number, so integers are out.
????
where p and q are any integrers..okay..??
and it is not a whole number. so you have real (almost always the case, until you get to complex numbers) and rational (you can see it is -16/50 which is a ratio)
\[\iota \] do you have a concept about this..?
Guys I have never learned this concept lol..... I literally have no idea how to solve.... I need steps pleez
You answer by memorizing definitions whole number (probably means counting numbers) 1,2,3... (but check your book or notes, because people have different definitions on this) integer: negative or positive whole numbers, including 0 real: any number (except complex numbers, which you probably are not studying) rational: any number that can be written as a ratio of two integers.
