Ok, so I know how to make a box and whisker plot but Im confused. My data has X and Y values (73, 72), (60, 58.4) ext. and it says to make a box and whisker plot out of it. how do I do that?

Do you have data to plot for your box and whisker or is that another stupid question, too? You need a list of data to make a box and whisker.

I know that but that's not what im asking, all im asking is how to do it with X and Y values. you don't need my data to explain that. For example: to make a regaular box and whisker plot you find your meidan then the 1st and 3rd quartile make a box from those 3 then places lines from the side going out to the smallest and largest number.

What you do is find the median off all the data, the "middle" number; make sure all your values are in order from least to greatest. That's the first step.

wow, really? I know how to make a box and whisker plot but you refused to listen to what im saying. It's mostly Matlab links, I have no idea what class you are in, but it's not likely something many people here will have knowledge of. I have a math degree and don't remember needing to do this.
