Not quite sure how to figure these symmetry stuff.

Imagine you had a nice chocolate donut or a blueberry bagel, and you take a sharp knife and cut the donut or bagel in half the usual way (when you're about to put on some honey butter). Half your donut would be above the knife blade, the other half below, if the blade is held horizontal. That's symmetry with respect to a plane. You could cut the donut in half in another way and still have sym. w. r. t. a plane. Now pound a nail into the kitchen table and lasso it with the donut. Center the donut on the nail. Wouldn't that give yu symmetry with respect to the z-axis? :) You owe me half a donut. Chocolate. None other.
