how does our need for belonging influence our choices?

Well if you want to be accepted, and belong somewhere u can do things to belong. You can change ur personality, physical appearance.... everything if ur that determined to belong.  For example, if you are to buy a pair of shoes and ur fav color is green, but every other person in ur school has in it pink, you would get it in pink. WHy? Because you want to be accepted and be as popular so that you may feel like you belong in ur school or whatever. Point is, it influenced in ur choice of getting it green to getting it pink. hope this made sense. :)
